Narrowgauge Class C Shay geared logging locomotive. This model represents builder's serial number 3302 operated on the West Side Lumber Co. railroad operations as the number 12 out of Tuolumne in the state of California from 1940 to 1961. Uses a heavy girder steel frame and cast steel bogey frames. It was built in the Lima shops in 04-21-1926 originally for the Swayne Lumber Co., Oroville California. This locomotive is on the Shay Survivor List and is located in Colorado, USA.

This model has been modified from the original version in order to operate without error in TRS2010+. Mesh objects have been modified and syntax errors have been fixed. Use within versions of Trainz other than TRS2010 and TRS2012 has not been tested nor is recommended. Due to the variability of user installed Trainz content and modified/removed built-in assets, this model cannot be guaranteed to work without error on every user installation. The user assumes all risk with installing and using this model.

This model was originally made for UTC but will work in TRS2010/2012. Does not include any "steam" engine spec but uses a modified diesel enginespec for simplicity. Weight and tractive effort approximates the actual engine parameters. Recommend exclusive use of "DCC" driving mode within Trainz. I am not interested in creating steam enginespecs any longer so please do not inquire. Experienced Trainz enthusiasts may modify or create their own steam enginespec for personal use using the parameters below.

West Side #12 TRS2010 INSTALL INFORMATION
Simply download the CDP file above to a folder of your choosing. Open Content Manager in TRS2010 or TRS2012. Select "File" and then "Install CDP". Navigate to where you downloaded the WSLC 12 T10 PAK.cdp file. Click the file. Installer should complete and commit assets without error. TRS2012 may show a caution for "Trainz build below 2.7 not supported" or something similar, this will not effect the model's operation and can be ignored. Launch Trainz and enjoy. Model name in Trainz is "36 WSLC SHAY 12" Report any non user induced asset errors to my contact link below, include the term "WSLC" in the subject line.
