Rude title but useful modeling tutorials based on MSFS modeling.

Chilliskinner 3d Modeling Skinning Tool

This is the best plug-in for creating texture maps from model surfaces.  Works primarily in 3dsMax but also works in Gmax.

NOTE: The original Chilliskinner site and excellent tutorials is no longer available. The link given only provides the script plug-in. I found a mirror of one of the old tutorials here for reference.

Tutorial that shows how to create texture maps with the 3dsMax plug-in "Textporter".
Good lesson in mapping methods.

THE 3dsMax plugin place.  Contains the free TEXPORTER program which is indispensable for making bmp exports of model textures.
